1. What is a case cracking competition? 
    Visa’s case cracking competition is an event where individuals get to work in teams to resolve a real-world consulting case, pitch their solutions to Visa Executives and have a chance to win a prize. 

 

  1. Who is eligible to apply and participate in this event? 
    Prospective Interns: A student in their penultimate year of study, graduating in summer 2027 (including post bachelor’s degree). 
    Prospective Graduates: An individual who has graduated in 2025, or is set to graduate in 2026, prepared to start our Graduate programme in September 2026. 
     

  2. Can I apply to both the case cracking challenge and standard Intern / Graduate positions? 
    Yes, this case cracking challenge is conducted and assessed in isolation from the standard Intern / Graduate applications. Please check our careers website for open roles.

 

  1. How are the teams allocated? 
    We will assess application individually and randomly allocate the successful applicants into teams of four. 

 

  1. Is the competition in-person or online?  
    The competition is a one day, in-person event taking place in our Visa Europe HQ – London Paddington office. 

 

  1. What is the prize for being in the winning team? 
    The winning team will be invited for individual interviews at a later date for Visa’s Graduate or Intern position(s) at VCA and, will be awarded a prize. 

 

  1. What should I bring to the event if I get selected? 
    If you are successful in the application phase, please bring a laptop. We will provide pens, paper, and case materials.  

 

  1. Do I need to do any prep work for the competition? 
    Yes, if you are successful in the application phase, we will send you materials prior to the day of the event to prepare for the competition.
