Subra is the Senior Vice President and Chief Information Security Officer at Visa Inc., responsible for the company's cybersecurity program, technology controls, and cyber resiliency. With over 30 years of industry experience leading enterprise security teams and enabling secure and scalable ecommerce and payment platforms, Subra has been a core part of building Visa's Zero Trust Architecture and advancing VisaNet's cyber defense capabilities. Under his leadership, Visa has sustained the highest maturity rating in high-risk, highly regulated business sectors, as awarded by Gartner.
Prior to joining Visa, Subra held various cybersecurity leadership roles at Apigee (acquired by Google), Intuit, eBay, and Sun Microsystems. He holds multiple patents in the area of user authentication and cloud security and has co-authored the O'Reilly publication "Cloud Security and Privacy: An Enterprise Perspective on Risks and Compliance." Subra holds a Master of Computer Engineering from Clemson University and is a founding member of the Cloud Security Alliance, where he chaired the Trusted Cloud initiative.
