André Chaves is Senior Vice President and Country Head of Mercado Pago in Brazil, a role he has held since March 2024, during which the business has doubled in size and reached US$6.8B in revenues. He joined Mercado Libre in 2020 as SVP of Strategy, Corporate Development, and Investor Relations, playing a key role in the company’s expansion and market positioning, and also serves as an independent board member at Hotmart. Previously, André spent 16 years at Bain & Company as a Partner, focusing on retail, financial services, and customer strategy. He holds a degree in Economics from UFMG and an MBA with distinction from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
