Thomas Schaufler has been a Member of the Board of Managing Directors at Commerzbank AG since late 2021, where he is responsible for the Private and Small Business Clients segment. In this capacity, he oversees the strategic direction and operations for a portfolio of more than 10 million customers. With a career spanning over three decades, Thomas began his professional journey in 1993 at Erste Bank in Austria, where he held senior leadership positions across Treasury Sales, Structured Financial Products, and Capital Market Solutions. Prior to joining Commerzbank, he served as a Board Member for both Erste Bank and Erste Group Bank AG, following a successful tenure managing group-wide securities and retail sales operations across Austria and Eastern Europe.
