Gillean Dooney is responsible for the end-to-end Product Management for current account customers, including the management of Overdrafts, Debit Cards, Domestic and International Payments and High Value Payments, as well as owning and driving the Open Banking agenda. Gillean represents Barclays as a non-executive director with Entercard, a leading Nordic credit card company co-owned by Barclays and Swedbank. Gillean joined Barclays in 2015 to lead the transformation of the insurance business, having previously worked at American Express for 15 years in the International Proprietary Card business across a variety of roles in product, digital and partnerships. Gillean holds a Bachelor’s in Psychology from University of Otago.
