Tareq Muhmood is Visa’s Regional President, Central and Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa (CEMEA), based in Dubai. In this role, Tareq oversees Visa’s operations and presence in 86 markets across the region and is a member of Visa’s Global Markets Leadership Team. Tareq was most recently Head of Visa’s Value Added Services (VAS) for Europe, based in London, where he led the delivery of Visa’s Value Added capabilities to power the growth of clients in areas such as digital, risk, acceptance and open banking. Previously, Tareq held senior roles at Visa as Group Country Manager for Regional Southeast Asia and Senior Vice President of Global Client Management, based in Singapore. Prior to joining Visa in December 2019, Tareq spent 25 years in financial services working for HSBC, ANZ, and Ahli United Bank. He has worked in Chief Executive roles in South Korea, Vietnam, Brunei, Iraq, and Kuwait, and ran Retail, Corporate & Institutional banking businesses. Tareq graduated from the University of Manchester and has attended programs at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
