Dan Parsons is commercial lead for Visa Acceptance Solutions across Europe. In this role, he is responsible for leading efforts to collaborate with the seller side of the ecosystem to help acquirers, merchants, enablers and other partners power their businesses using Visa’s wide range of acceptance value-added products and services.
Dan previously spearheaded Visa’s Acceptance business across the Asia Pacific region where he grew the business significantly through deep partnerships. Prior to that, he led the Merchant & Acquiring function for the Australia, New Zealand and South Pacific cluster, a role he held since 2017. During this time, he delivered strong growth for MS&A and Cybersource, as well as deepened merchant and acquiring relationships across the cluster.

Prior to joining Visa, Dan spent 20 years at American Express, firstly helping to grow their Global Network Services organisation, Amex’s network business. Dan held various roles at Amex including Finance, Operations, Business Development and Sales, With over 20 years of payments experience, Dan has built a reputation for building strategic partnerships and world-class teams across a variety of geographies and disciplines.
Originally from the UK, Dan moved to Sydney, Australia in 2012 to escape the cold winters. He was then based in Singapore, and most recently has returned to the UK to take up his new role in Acceptance.
